Unbelievably designed buildings in China
n 2018, Hans Hollein and Christoph Monschein designed the SBF tower, a Jenga-style office building. Located in the Futian district of Shenzhen, the SBF tower is described as a "town in the sky".

Located on the eastern skyline of Ningbo, the Ningbo Bank of China building is the newest location in the city's financial district. This striking 50-story tower gradually rotates along a vertical axis encompassing the surrounding city, mountains and sea.


British studio Thomas Heatherwick designed this amazing structure. The Seed Church for the Shanghai World Expo in 2010 (Expo 2010). The studio's inspiration is Kew Gardens' Millennium Seed Bank. The structure is a box containing 250,000 seeds with 60,000 "hairs" growing from the walls, each 7.5 m acrylic rod. Each bar has a hidden light, creating a magical effect at night. This work was awarded a gold medal for Booth Design at the exhibition.
The Wanda Movie Theme Park in Wuhan was designed by Stufish Entertainment Architects. The construction has the appearance of giant beehives, although the design is actually based on the Wuhan bell, a traditional symbol of the local culture.
The 70-meter-tall China Pavilion in Shanghai World Expo Park, designed by He Jingtang, is now one of the largest museums in the city. The striking red building is based on the traditional Chinese silver block, a wooden roof frame with a history of 2,000 years.
Galaxy Soho in Beijing was designed by architect Zaha Hadid. In the book Beautified China: The Architectural Revolution, the building is described as "out of this world, beyond your imagination". As Zaha Hadid's first building in the capital that immediately caught everyone's attention, Galaxy Soho has a surreal, distinctly stylish look in Beijing.
The Linked Hybrid in Beijing is the work of architect Steven Holl with 220,000-square-foot towers linked by aerial corridors.
