France's Eiffel Tower has reopened after 9 months of closure

After a long period (9 months) of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, visitors can re-visit this famous building. This is the longest period of time the Eiffel Tower has been closed since World War 2.

To implement anti-epidemic measures, only about 13,000 visitors a day will be allowed to take the elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower to see Paris. These visitors are still required to wear masks.

In particular, from July 21, to comply with government requirements, visitors will need to present a certificate of having received the COVID-19 vaccine or having a recent negative test result.

The Eiffel Tower - known as the "Iron Lady" - is a construction located on the Champ-de-Mars park, next to the Seine river in Paris. Opened in 1889, the Eiffel Tower became the tallest building in the world at that time. Including the antenna on the top, the Eiffel Tower is about 325m high.

This Eiffel Tower was forced to close in October 2020 in the context of France dealing with the COVID-19 epidemic. Even after most of France's major tourist attractions reopened last month, the Eiffel Tower was still closed for repairs at the time.
